No Place for Hate Committee
Meeting Minutes
Tuesday, November 2, 2010
5:30 p.m.
Present: Meghann Ackerman, Pat Liberti, Jean Rockett, Scott Weisberg (chair), Bonnie Weiss
Anti-Bullying Workshop: No one was able to attend the Anti-Bullying Workshop put on by the ADL. Meghann suggested that, in the future, No Place for Hate and the Youth Commission may be able to work together on some anti-bullying projects.
Budget for Memorial: Scott said he would like the memorial to be up in 6 months. Bonnie suggested erecting a bench that could have plaques for different donors placed on it. Other suggestions for fundraising included asking the ADL and local businesses for donations.
Martin Luther King Jr. Day: Scott said he was invited to speak at the Salem State event again.
The meeting adjourned at 6:20 p.m.
